Welcome and thank you for taking time to visit my website. As one of your elected representatives I want to make sure that you get chance to see what I doing and for you to get to raise issues with me. My intention always is to be as open as possible share whatever information that I have as widely as possible. I do however understand how important it is for people to know that they can come to me in confidence so the website will not contain any personal issues unless it has the constant for the individual.
Please have a look around the site and drop me an email on your thoughts. I’m also keen to hear of other issues that you think I should be looking into.
Yours
Mark

I had a quick look today and my first thought is you should use spellcheck or get a proofreader to go over everything, ie— the welcome message above . I take it you mean to say consent from the individual not constant for the individual, also in another report you spelt does as dose! Other grammatical errors in other reports as well. The issue in the town I would like you to take up is a pledge made by yourself during your election campaign to get something done about the various potholes round Lochgelly which you had seen for yourself whilst out and about campaigning in the town. These potholes which are now worse than they have ever been due to the severe weather of last January and this winter. Lastly talking about bad weather, the first snow fell on 26/11/10 and some of the men in our street went out and dug out the road to help traffic. Whilst doing this they used the grit out of the bucket. Then today, 12/1/11 I saw, from my house, two Fife Council vehicles and 4 workmen filling up said bucket, 7 WEEKS after it was emptied. Not good enough.
Take your point on the spelling and grammar! A consequence of rushing things out quickly and not getting people to check the article before it goes out. I’ll have someone look over the articles and make changes. Thanks for the feedback.
On the potholes issue I have been going around logging calls for pot holes. But it seems to be a never ending task you first need to log them and then chase council to get it filled. My pledge during the election campaign was to put more resources into addressing the issue. Unfortunately were after the election we were not able to for the administration (coalition between Lib Dem & SNP Councillors), I say this not in an attempt to make excuses but outline impact the political arithmetic has on the ability of local carry out their pledges. I will put some info up on potholes and lets see if we can improve the situation.
Regarding the grit bins not being refilled is a result of once again the council running out of grit. The grit that they had was hoarded to ensure they could still treat the main roads. This is the second year on the trot that this has happened. Now that they have the new stock I’ll ask them to replenish all the grit bins in the area. If you have a problem like this again let me know and I will see what I can do at the time.
Jeanette – I’ve set about some of the work you suggested see posting http://www.markhood.org/road-maintenance-how-you-can-have-it-fixed
